ennamo poda

when i was younger, say 9 or 10 years old,i used to assume things...
such as

1.back then radio was the main source for listening to songs...mainly all india radio.
they used to announce " ippoludhu paadikondirupavargal s.p.balasubramaniamum chithravum"( இப்பொழுது பாடிகொண்டிருப்பவர்கள் எச்.பி.பாலசுப்ரமணியமும் சித்ராவும்)...i used to wonder how they sing these many songs sitting in that radio station lively .. without any mistake....that too daily morning..HEHE

2.in subjects theyve taught that taj mahal lies in the bank of yamuna.but in picture of taj there is just a small water body in rectagular shape...i thought thats yamuna river and shahjehan saw taj using that when he was imprisoned...hehe...mouna ragan song paatha apuramthan therinjudhu...yamuna taj mahaluku pinnaadi odudhunnu...idha munnaadiye evanavadhu solliruka koodadha
epdida unnala mattu ipidi yosikka mudiyudhu...ennamo poda

Vintage Sachin and his unbeatable record

Well...first of all I shall make you clear abt my "sachin fanaticism".I used to switch off the television when sachin was given out.A cover drive by sachin for a single is more effective for me than a boundary hit by another batsman.I remember those good old days where I'd cut sachin's images from whichever source ...let it be magazine or newspaper as a regular deed.
Why should i talk about the vintage sachin now...actually whats this vintage sachin for a fan like me.the 93 he got against south africa is the answer folks.its not about runs....its the way he got it.the shots and the bowlers against whom he got it.My favourite shot of sachin is his hook shot against fast bowlers. He hooked a top quality bowler like ntini with such ease whenever he got the oppurtunity. The pitch is really supporting the bowlers.the ball moved off the pitch greatly. But sachin really played like a "master batsman. He reached his 15000 in this match.I really dreamed abt sachin reaching this feat in the world cup which is a bigger stage and many could acknowledge it.But this great achievement was showcased before a meagre crowd in ireland.

Tony greig has commented that sachin is not the best one-day batsman and his achievement must be put into perspective. He said that bevan is a better oneday player than sachin. Now if my memory serves right...this same tony greig while commentating the famous sharjah match against australia where sachin ravaged australian bowling said "this little man is the nearest thing to b bradman that has ever been".that single day of commentary by tony greig made him my most favourite commentator.especially his words.."what a player...whaaaaaat a player".
well records are meant to be broken.but the influence he had on indian cricket....think about an indian team without sachin in 90's...we would have hit the rockbottom like zimbabwe.complete idiots like manjeraker, jadeja, azharudhin occupied the slots.its sachin who made us proud.let it be 96 world cup...he is the top scorer of all players...or 2003 world cup...he is the top scorer and achieved the man of the series award.

There may be a player who would surpass the records of sachin in future.but the impact sachin created among the indian crowds and the hope that indian crowd pinned on sachin tendulkar couldnt be surpassed by anyone.thats his unbeatable record.

HAIL SACHIN
