Is Cricket a boring game?

I have heard people say "cricket ...sema bore...football maadhiri varadhu"..especially they did during football worldcup time(indha maadhiri pesuna paadhi perukku ronaldo, becham, ronaldino thavira foot balla-la vera endha naayayum theriyadhu)...they would have started watching foot ball only during that time...urudhiya soldren...indha maadhiri pesura paadhi naaikku football rules eduvum clear-a theriyadhu...chumma scene poda vendiyadhu...orkutla yedhavadhu pEr theriyadha photo vechukka vendiyadhu...becham commoonitila sera vendiyadhu...ipdi oorupatta scene...shabbaaaaaaaaa

Ive loved just one thing in that football world cup...zidane....i expected him to lift worldcup :)

let me ask one question to them

1.tell me one game other than cricket which entertains people completely for 8 to 9 hours greatly..one game!(that too we watch test match for 5 days)

2.i accept football is interestin...but is it possible to watch a match for 8 to 9 hours if it is played(it cant be as the players would have been exhausted after 1.5 hours)

scene podalam....adhukaga cricket-a mattam thata koodadhu..especially during sachin's era :)

Football, then daylight, then cricket. Period.
Of course opinions differ :)

Football's biggest strength is its simplicity. Hit ball into goal. And since its simple its accessible. That's why its the most popular game on earth. Poetry in motion endra vasanathukku etra vilayaattu Kaalpandhaattam :)
However, being simple as it is, the nuances and complexities that the game hides is wonderful.

w.r.t your questions, yeah you have more time in cricket but how much of it is enjoyable is debatable. Infact, the lengthy duration can often be its biggest drawback.

bala,

may be i would love football if india play at that level!...anyhow during schooldays i used to watch the game of our state players...i used to be a fan of bhutia...but never got interested in the whole game...only bhutia impressed...i dint get whats there in the game where they just kick, kick, kick!

only during the finished world cup...i got interested in the game!

as i said...i could get if india get to greater height many like me would start to watch football!

cricket offers great variety of skills.. football is fast, but a bit repetitive.. the same thing happens too often..

once an american friend to Tony cozier asked him "u gus play cricket for 5 days, and still cant decide the winner!!"

Vignesh,
One moron in the hub named salam_chennai is equating Rajini's stunts with Aandavar's by just giving one example - Vikram. That is just freakin dumb. Pl tell him/her to compare
a) Mahanadhi
b) Nayagan
c) Aboorva
d) Alavandhaan
e) VIRUMAANDI
f) VV
etc...
The matter is not using rope, the matter is whos stunts are convincing and realistic. Madi padi yerave dupe podum mental seyyaradhu ellam stunt-a? Avanukku chewing gum menna kuda pallu irukkadhu...

P.S: Sorry for (ab)using your comments space for this. Kindly adjust :)
